Privacy Policy

This policy describes what the SoldScan iPhone app collects and why. It is written to be read, not to be survived. If something here is unclear, ask us at team@depra.ai and we will fix the wording.
The short version
- You can use SoldScan without an account, an email address, or a payment method.
- We do not track you across other apps or websites, and there is no advertising SDK in the app.
- We do not sell your data. There is no business model here that involves selling it.
- Photos you scan are sent to Microsoft Azure OpenAI to identify the item, and are not used to train anyone's models.
What we collect

We never collect
Your contacts, your location, your photo library beyond the specific images you choose to scan, your browsing activity, or any advertising identifier. SoldScan does not ask for App Tracking Transparency permission because it does not track you.
Who we share it with
Only the services needed to make the app work, and only what each one needs:
- Microsoft Azure OpenAI — receives the photo you scan, to identify the item. Microsoft states that data submitted to Azure OpenAI is not used to train the underlying models, and is not shared with other customers. The app asks for your explicit consent before the first photo is ever sent.
- Our comps data provider — receives the search text for the item (for example "1973 Harvest pressing"), to look up completed sales. It does not receive your identity or your photos.
- Apple — handles all payments. We never see your card details.
- RevenueCat — tells our server whether your subscription is active.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising or cross-context behavioural advertising.
Where your data lives
On servers we operate in the United States. If you are outside the US, your data is transferred there for processing.
Deleting your data
In the app, go to Settings and choose Delete My Data. If you are signed in, this erases your account and its history; the app keeps working anonymously afterwards. You can also email team@depra.ai from the address on your account and we will do it for you within 30 days. Deleting the app from your phone removes anything stored on the device.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete the personal data we hold about you, and to object to certain processing. Email team@depra.ai and we will action it. We will not charge you or degrade the app for exercising these rights.
Children
SoldScan is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, email us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy in a way that materially affects you, we will update the date above and tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
